[UPDATE 1/29 10 AM] The Cedar Rapids Police Department has released the name of the 22-year-old man killed in a Tuesday morning shooting in northeast Cedar Rapids. He's been identified as Jose Eduardo Millan-Ramirez.

[ORIGINAL STORY] Another shooting in northeast Cedar Rapids is being investigated by the Cedar Rapids Police Department this morning. According to CBS 2, police responded to 634 Ashton Place NE (Ashton Place Apartments) at 3:37 a.m. Tuesday morning.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found an unidentified male victim in the parking lot. KCRG (video below) says the victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to Unity Point-St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids in critical condition. Cedar Rapids Police say it was a 22-year-old male who died shortly after being taken to the hospital. Police believe it was not a random incident and their investigation continues.

This is the second shooting in northeast Cedar Rapids since late Friday. 18-year-old Andrew D. Gaston died at Unity Point-St. Luke's Hospital Saturday morning at 12:39 a.m. He had been shot near the corner of Blairs Ferry Road and Agin Ct. N.E., just west of Walmart, about an hour earlier. A second victim, 16-years-old, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
