Oktoberfests, Concerts, & Farmers' Markets

After a few fairly quiet weekends here in Eastern Iowa, things have picked back up again! There are lots of great events coming up in Iowa this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Here's a rundown of the big ones:

BrewNost 2019
- National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library in Cedar Rapids
- September 20th from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- "BrewNost will feature a wide range of international beers selected from Doug Alberhasky, from John’s Grocery in Iowa City. All beverages will be specially paired with culinary creations by chefs from some of the area’s finest restaurants. The Crunch Berry Run

- "Participants will be doused in environmentally-friendly color powder as they run or walk the 5K or 1-mile route. The run/walk will finish with music, dancing, and family-friendly activities"

Apfelfest
- Amana Colonies

- "It’s a beautiful time to visit the Colonies and you’ll find apple treats, apple gifts, and apple desserts at many of the businesses. Of course, a local orchard will be on hand to sell you fresh apples to take home. Bandit Big Rig Series

Concert For The Linn County Freedom Rock

6th Annual Cedar Rapids HOPEwalk

  - Opening ceremonies at 9:30 a.m.
- "The HOPEwalk is a local community-based walk to remember loved ones lost to suicide, support survivors, raise awareness, and work on prevention in the Cedar Rapids area community"
