North Liberty Wallet Thief Yet to Come Forward

When this post went up awhile back, I thought there would be a quick resolution to the issue. ABC News picked up on the story of a North Liberty Wallet Thief. A Facebook post from Sarah Smith went viral after It was posted last week. Her father's wallet was stolen at the Rec Center. Losing all of it's contents was a drag, of course. What really stung was a memento inside that wallet that Chuck Smith had always carried with him -- a piece of paper with his wife's phone number on it.

In 1974, Smith met the woman who later became his wife. He kept the piece of paper that had her phone number and wedding ring receipts in his wallet and, until last week, that memory was always within reach.
