Noelridge Farmer’s Market Announces In-Person Opening

If you've been needing your Farmer's Market fix and the pre-order/drive-through methods just aren't cutting it, the Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation Department announces that starting this week, the Noelridge Farmer's Market opens on an in-person basis, according to Iowa's News Now.

The open-air market opens this Wednesday, July 1. It will be closed this Friday due to the holiday, but after this week, normal hours will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4-6 p.m through October 16. The only other day it will be closed will be September 7 due to Labor Day.

It's on the corner of Council St. and Collins Rd. and it's a lot like the Cedar Rapids Downtown Farmer's Market, just smaller, with produce, meat, and crafts available to patrons.

I learned via a phone call to the Parks & Recreation Department that all vendors will accept cash, most will accept credit or debit, and they will also accept WIC checks, a supplemental food benefits program for women, infants, and children in need. Vendors will make the individual decision of what other forms of payment they will accept.

Social distancing of 6 feet apart will be encouraged, and vendors will be spaced out as such.
