If you have been cruising around Cedar Rapids lately, you may have noticed some changes.

Ground has broke on two new developments in the southwest and northeast quadrants of the city. You'll see piles of dirt surrounded by fencing with a sign that reads "Get Ready to Shine!". That's because Mister Car Wash is broadening their footprint in Cedar Rapids market.

The Arizona-based company operates more than 300 car washes in 21 states. Now, they are expanding in those states.

With almost 50 years of history and as the largest car wash company in the United States operating in 21 states, we’re dedicated to the growth of existing markets with our new prototype.  With a stylish building and attractive landscaping package, we strive to make our washes fit in with the community, as it is more than being a good neighbor.  It is doing what we can to elevate the community where we live and work.  We are committed to providing our communities with world-class service and advanced green technology." -MisterCarWash.com

Currently there is a wash off of Northland Ave. near Collins Road. The new Mister Car Wash locations will be off of Williams Blvd. on the southwest side of town, and on the corner of Blairs Ferry Road and Edgewood in northeast Cedar Rapids.

There's no clear date set for when the new locations will be open for business, but the Gazette reports that the car washing is expected to begin sometime this fall in September or October.
