Cedar Rapids’ Newest Bar is Now Open
Cedar Rapids has a new restaurant and drinking establishment. Bo Mac's recently opened at 219 16th Ave SE, right in the heart of the historic Newbo District.
Bo Mac's serves fresh ingredients and 90% of their menu is made from scratch comfort food. Owner Brett McCormick told me, "The food here wakes up your taste buds. We're really excited for people to come down here and check us out!"
I took a few pictures during my visit the other day...it looks pretty cool!
McCormick added, "We have a bunch of local craft beers on tap. We installed a 'glycol system,' to insure the beer is always kept cold."
I couldn't resist when Brett offered me my choice of any of the taps. He was right, ice cold! I really dig this place...it's very laid back with a good vibe all around. Cedar Rapids needed an establishment like this.
Bo Mac's is part of the BoTown Entertainment Park, an outdoor entertainment venue that will have a full schedule of national musical acts in 2019. This area is really booming with great entertainment opportunities for residents right here in Eastern Iowa!
Oh, I almost forgot! To finish the night, listen to music that fulfills everyone's tastes-from classic to contemporary on their indoor stage. They've got a little bit of everything happening at this new Cedar Rapids venue.
Bo Mac's is open now, but mark your calendar for their grand opening. The big day will happen on Friday, October 19th. The celebration will feature drink and food specials, live music, celebrity bartenders and much more.
Stop by and have one of those cold beers. And when you get there, let 'em know that Jaymz sent ya!
