NCAA Investigation: Nebraska Football’s Scott Frost Nightmare Deepens [WATCH]
Just when you thought it couldn't get worse for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, it has. The NCAA is investigating the program and head coach Scott Frost. The investigation couldn't come at a worse time... 10 days before the start of the season for a program that desperately needs a good year.
Rumors started running rampant early Wednesday that the Nebraska program was being investigated. Action Network reported the NCAA investigation centered around "improper use of analysts and consultants during practice and games." Sports Illustrated reports, “the school has significant video footage documenting the impermissible use of analysts and consultants while assistant coaches and Frost were on the field or on the sideline.”
Wednesday afternoon, Nebraska Athletic Director Trev Alberts and Frost met with the media.
Nebraska is 12-20 in three seasons under Frost. The Cornhuskers open the season next Saturday, August 28 with a game at Illinois. They're set to host the Iowa Hawkeyes to end the regular season on Friday, November 26. The kickoff is at 12:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network. We'll find out in the next three months if Scott Frost is still on the Nebraska sideline when Black Friday arrives. Right now, I'd bet against it.
