Naked Iowa Man Stuck in Chimney was Playing Hide-And-Seek [PHOTO]

This is one man you DO NOT want to do battle with in hide-and-seek.

An Iowa man was found wedged in the chimney of a western Iowa business Wednesday morning and had the strangest excuse you could ever imagine. He said he'd been playing hide-and-seek with his cousin the night before and had gotten stuck. However, that's only the beginning of the strangeness.

At around 1 a.m. Wednesday, Brad Sapp, who runs the Carroll Redemption Center, was sorting cans near the chimney of the business. He told the Daily Times Herald he heard someone say, "Get out of here."  When Sapp told his wife Carrie, she made fun of him for thinking there was a ghost. It wasn't nearly as funny eight hours later when the chimney spoke to her.

Carrie told the Daily Times Herald she heard someone say, "I'm in your chimney. I was playing hide-and-seek with my cousin. Don't call the cops, I just need some help getting out." It was time to call the police.

After more than a dozen firefighters worked to free the man for over a half-hour, 29-year-old Jordan Kajewski was pulled to safety, just before 11 Wednesday morning.

Strangely enough, Kajewski, who recently moved to Carroll, was naked but had his clothes with him. I'd say he took them off to try to free himself, but inside a chimney he was stuck in? That seems unlikely.

Kajewski had shimmied some 20 feet down the chimney where he became stuck. That seems to be overdoing hide-and-seek, to me. He lost the game and also got hauled off to jail, facing a trespass charge.
