The World's Ugliest Dog Contest was held late last week in California, and Martha the Neapolitan mastiff took home the crown!

The Sonoma-Marin Fair held their annual World's Ugliest Dog contest last week, and 14 dogs of all shapes and sizes competed for the title. The winner was Martha, a 125-pound, 3-year-old Neapolitan mastiff with the droopiest face you've ever seen! Just look at this sweet girl:

According to NPR, Martha dominated the competition, often plopping down on stage to take a nap. She hasn't always had it so easy, though. Apparently, Martha was rescued from a neglectful home and was nearly blind. She has had several surgeries to regain her sight.

Martha and her owner walked away with a trophy, $1,500, and a flight to New York City for media appearances. She may be the ugliest dog in the world, but I would still love to snuggle her!
