Leave Work Early & Watch The Cubs Today

Let's all leave work early today, enjoy a few beers and watch some baseball! The Cubs take on the Nationals this afternoon at 3:08 p.m. It's Wednesday, it's been a long week, you deserve this.

There's nothing better then cutting out early to watch some day baseball. Jake Arrieta is on the mound for the Cubs taking on Tanner Roark for the Nationals. According to local bookie "Jimmy Fingers," the Cubs are a -155 favorite in today's game. If Chicago wins, the series will be over and the Cubs advance to the NL Championship Series.

With the first pitch so early, you can actually get home "from work" at the same time you always do. The wife will have no idea you spent the entire afternoon in a tavern with your loser buddies watching baseball. It's a perfect scenario!

Just make sure to have a designated driver. If you end up in jail, your boss won't believe the excuse you came up with to leave early. That, and your wife is really going to be mad. Just get home safe, someone needs to feed the cat.
