Kernels Open This Week

It's time for some baseball!

This Thursday, April 4th the Cedar Rapids Kernels open the regular season at home. Peoria is in town for a two game series with both first pitches at 6:35 p.m. It's also Thursday, and that means cheap beer at the stadium!

I'm SO happy the baseball season is here. It's been a miserable winter and it's time to put that behind us. The weather looks decent with a high of 51 degrees and possible showers. I'll take it...at least it's not snow!

Before the game, I'll be at the Stadium Lounge across the street enjoying some broasted chicken and a vodka cranberry. The Stadium has some of the best chicken in the state of Iowa. So stop by and share a leg with me, let's kick the season off in style!
