Johnson County Nonprofit Hosting “Martini Shakeoff with a Twist”
Mixologists in the Johnson County area are showing off their cocktail-making skills to help a good cause.
KWWL says that now through June 20, HAVlife of Johnson County's "Martini Shakeoff with a Twist" is having participating venues serve a signature drink to help HAVlife's mission of preventing lost potential and providing access to athletics, music and arts programming for kids living in Johnson County. This is an in-person that raises $75,000 a year to Johnson County nonprofits.
Get your drink on for the cause at the following venues with their signature drinks at this event:
• Big Grove (Solon): BG Bramble
• Blackstone: Blueberry Lemon Mojito
• Hudson’s: Mango Mojito
• Mosley’s (Iowa City & North Liberty): Mojo Jojo’s Mojito

The event's Facebook page goes on to say that since September 2016, HAVlife has awarded nearly $250,000 to more than 40 Johnson County nonprofits. They include Fifth Ward Saints, the Iowa City Community School District (ICCSD) Foundation, Girls on the Run, Iowa City UNESCO, Kickers, Courage League Sports, and Neighborhood Centers of Johnson County.
