Clinton firefighter Adam Cain was injured last month in a silo explosion at the ADM plant, which killed his partner Lt. Eric Hosette.

Cain is out of the hospital and looks well on his way to recovery, evidenced by a few recent stops to visit fellow Iowans who have stepped up to the task of helping.

Over $1,000 was donated to Cain in January by the city of Camanche, Iowa as the fire department there sold red lights and took donations. KCRG says the Camanche Fire Department was proud to personally present the check to Cain on Sunday.

Then on Monday, Cain was in Cedar Rapids to visit his firefighting counterparts there, and deliver to them specially designed t-shirts they ordered through Hy-Vee in Clinton as a fundraiser for him.

CBS2 has more information. "What an amazing recovery and inspiration for all of us! Our continued thoughts and prayers for his health and to the family of Lt. Hosette", was a quote from a Facebook post by the CRFD.

We all agree and thank these brave men and their families for their service and sacrifice.
