John Mellencamp is coming to Stephens Auditorium, in Ames on Sunday, October 30th at 7:30 p.m.

According to John Mellencamp's website, the "Plain Spoken Tour" has been called "a triumphant, career-spanning show" (Hollywood Reporter) and a "superb performance...still full of fiery defiance" (Boston Globe).

I have some tickets to give away on the 94.1 KRNA Morning Show. Listen this week for your chance to win. I've never seen Johnny live before, but that's going to change at the end of the month!

I'm a huge KISS fan, this show reminded me of a funny story. Around 1982, there was a mistake made at a record manufacturer. KISS had just recorded the album "Creatures of the Night," and some of the earliest pressings mistakenly contained one full side of Mellencamp's "American Fool." Both Kiss and Mellencamp were under the umbrella of Mercury Records at the time. Apparently, the master tapes got switched. What a shock that would have been for a KISS fan! Today, those albums are highly sought after by Kiss collectors. I wish I had one!

This is gonna be a great show. For more information, check out www.mellencamp.com and listen to The KRNA Morning Show to win tickets!
