I grew up in the era of the Air Jordans. Every kid wanted them. Few could afford them. They were the only shoes that mattered, at least in the mind of a teenager. I remember saving up and buying my first pair of Jordan shoes. A black pair of Air Jordan V basketball shoes in 1990. What I wouldn't give for a pair today. I paid around $170 for them in the early 90s. Today, a new pair would cost me nearly $400.

The hobby of shoe collecting hasn't slowed down. Air Jordan shoes are still a hot commodity. My son Chase has several pairs of his own and proudly displays them on the wall in his room. I'm sure you probably know someone who has a shoe collection of their own. But trust me, you've never seen a closet full of shoes like the one that this NBA champion recently showed off.

Jason Tatum plays for the Boston Celtics in the NBA. He is an NBA Champion and also happens to be a Jordan brand ambassador. Judging by his shoe collection he can clearly get any Jordan shoe he wants!

I can't even imagine the value of Tatum's shoe collection. He has every colorway you can think of and many I didn't even know existed. If you're a Jordan fan like me, walking into that shoe closet would be like a trip to sneaker heaven!
