If you're still hanging on to those eclipse glasses and aren't really sure what to do with them, we've got a suggestion!

According to those smart people at NASA

the next annular solar eclipse that can be seen in the continental United States will be on October 14, 2023 which will be visible from Northern California to Florida. Following this, we will have a total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 visible from Texas to Maine"

So it's going to be at least six years before the next eclipse in our viewing areas and those glasses may only be safe to use for a few years. Rather than holding on to them, donate them!

According to Gizmodo, Astronomers Without Borders is offering to take them off your hands and send them to school kids in Asia and South America. They will be witnessing an eclipse in 2019, so your glasses should still be safe to use!

If you're interested in putting your glasses to good use and donating them, find out how HERE.
