For the last week, I've been talking talking about how great of a football team TCU is. I said that there was NO way that Iowa State would beat the Horned Frogs of Texas Christian. I also said this will be the week the Cyclones go back to their old losing ways. I even made a bet with KHAK'S Bobby Hanson...And, because I'm an idiot, I spotted him ten points!

Well, I'm here to say, I was wrong. Iowa State beat TCU yesterday 14-7 in front of a capacity crowd at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames. ISU quarterback Kyle Kempt threw for 202 yards and had two touchdowns. With Saturday's win, Iowa State is now bowl eligible for the first time in five years.

With wins over Oklahoma, Texas Tech and now TCU, it's pretty obvious this Iowa State football team is for real. The Cyclones will travel to West Virginia next week to take on the Mountaineers.

Even thought I'm a huge Hawkeye fan, I can honestly say that I'm really happy that the Clones are on a roll. I might even start cheering for them....as long as they aren't playing against Iowa.
