A Marion turkey hunter got quite a surprise from inside his turkey blind during a hunt in southern Iowa earlier this month.

Brook Martin was inside a turkey blind in southern Iowa last Saturday, April 20, when a bobcat came along, very interested in the turkey decoys that Martin had set up. The bobcat got as close as seven yards from Martin who says he went unnoticed until pulling out his cellphone to video the encounter. Clearly, in the video below, the bobcat knows something is in the blind.

It's impossible to know just how big the bobcat was, but it's clearly a large one. Bobcats typically are up to 24-inches tall at the shoulder and usually weigh in a range between 14 and 40 pounds. At first glance, you might think this is a video of a lion in Africa. Nope, it's a bobcat. A big bobcat.
