Don’t Wait on Purchasing Iowa Football Tickets; They’re Nearly Gone
The countdown to another season of Iowa Hawkeye football is down to just 43 days. That'll throw a little excitement into your Friday. However, if you planning a trip to see Iowa at Kinnick Stadium, you better move on tickets. They are selling out quickly.
The University of Iowa announced Friday that four games for the upcoming season are sold out. Tickets for Iowa's home games against Iowa State on September 10, Nevada on September 17, Michigan on October 1, and Wisconsin on November 12 are now gone. However, the University says a limited number of hospitality ticket packages remain for each of those games.
Tickets for the other three Iowa home football games are also quite limited. Here are the specific numbers, via the University:
South Dakota State (September 3): Less than 2,500 tickets
Northwestern (October 29): Just over 500 remain
Nebraska (November 25): 1,100 tickets remain
When you look at those numbers, you know two things. Kinnick Stadium will almost assuredly be sold out for every home game, with 69,250 in the house for six fall Saturdays and one Friday afternoon. And number two, the place is going to be rocking. Of 484,750 tickets available for the 2022 season, just over 4,000 are left.
Iowa is ranked 23rd in both the Associated Press and Coaches preseason polls. They'll be taking on several highly regarded opponents. South Dakota State is ranked 5th in the FCS preseason poll; Michigan is ranked 3rd and Ohio State 6th in the AP poll. The full Hawkeye schedule for the upcoming season is below:
