The Iowa men's basketball program is in the midst of it's first three game losing streak of the season. Not exactly the way you want to enter play in the month of March. Without its head coach for the second straight game, Iowa failed to play with an urgency or emotion and got grilled at Wisconsin 65-45.

Senior Ethan Happ let the Badgers with 21 points and an double double as Wisconsin had no problem with the Hawkeyes. Iowa simply had no answer. It was the worst offensive showing of the season. The Hawkeyes have been outscored by 54 points in their last three losses. How bad was it? Iowa shot just 39% for the game. Tyler Cook was held without a point for the first time in his Iowa career. Yes, it was a historically bad night.

Now, there is a lot of basketball left to play. Fran McCaffery returns to the bench and that will no doubt make a difference. But this doesn't even look like the same team that was nationally ranked just a couple of weeks ago. The Hawkeyes can ease a lot of tensions with a good showing in the Big Ten Tournament. Then it's on to the NCAA Tournament. Yes, Iowa fans, this is an NCAA Tourney team even if they don't look like it now.

Iowa concludes it's regular season at Nebraska Sunday at 1 p.m.
