Iowa Bar Now Offering THC Infused Cocktails
Bellhop, a popular Tiki bar located in the East Village of Des Moines is making waves with its unique exploration into the world of THC-infused "green drinks." According to a report from the Des Moines Register, James Thyberg, co-owner and operator of Bellhop, has expanded the establishment's menu by introducing a range of flavored non-alcoholic beverages infused with THC, the psychoactive component found in cannabis.
Inspired by the success of Lua Brewing's Climbing Kites, Iowa's first THC-infused canned beverage, Thyberg and co-owner Ryan Flattery, decided to dive into the world of cannabis-infused drinks. To create these innovative beverages, Bellhop partnered with RiverBluff Collective headquartered in East Dubuque, but with products available for purchase across the Tri-State area. They offer a Delta-9 THC simple syrup that can be easily integrated into drink recipes.
The result? A selection of hand-crafted "green drinks" that come in four delightful flavors: Snozzberries Taste Like Snozzberries, The Passion Palace, Shy Guy Beach, and Spacemilk. Each of these beverages offers customers a choice in THC dosage, with options ranging from 10mg to 40mg.
Bellhop's "It's 420 Somewhere" happy hour, running from 4:20 to 6:20 p.m. daily, is the perfect opportunity for patrons to try these innovative creations at discounted prices.
These "green drinks" have proven to be a hit among customers, attracting a diverse range of patrons who want to enjoy a night out without consuming alcohol. James Thyberg, who emphasizes the profitability of these drinks, also highlights the importance of providing non-alcoholic options to cater to a broader audience.
Bellhop's unique approach to cannabis-infused beverages is not only good for business but it could be your new favorite way to enjoy a refreshing addition to the bar scene. Iowa finds a way to offer a new night out experience, as THC can be found in hemp, which can legally be used for human consumption in Iowa.
The vibrant East Village of Des Moines might be worth a trip.
