According to CBS2, "A man from Hiawatha was arrested on Thursday after a high-speed chase through Linn County, according to the Sheriff's office."

The incident started out on C Street SW on Thursday morning around 8:40 a.m. That's where police tried to pull over Bernard Michalec for passing in a no passing zone.

Michalec wouldn't pull the car over and the pursuit started! The chase ended up reaching speeds of over 80 miles per hour. Michalec had problems with his vehicle, and finally had to pull over on Highway 30 near Vislisel Road.

Police were able to arrest Michalec once he stopped. He now faces a laundry list of charges from fraudulent use of a credit card to driving while barred.
