High Speed Chase In Cedar Rapids
According to KCRG, "A man was arrested after leading police on a short chase, according to law enforcement officials."
The incident happened on Sunday, April 5th around 4 in the morning. Officers reported a reckless driver near 33rd avenue and J street on the Southwest side of town. When police tried to pull the vehicle over, the driver refused to stop.
Police went on a short chase and eventually pulled over 25-year-old Jared Evans. The arrest was made near a home on Novak Court SW.
Evans was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and interference with official acts. He was also charged with attempting to allude. Evans in now being held in the Linn County jail.
