Iowa got a big win on Sunday against Illinois in front of a sold out crowd at Carver Hawkeye Arena. The Hawks topped Illinois by a score of 72-65. Iowa's victory breaks the seven game win streak that Illinois had heading into this game.

Iowa finished the game with a 11-0 run to seal the deal in front of the sold out crowd. I was there and I can tell you this, it was REALLY loud inside Carver on Sunday afternoon!

The victory improves Iowa's record to 16-6 overall and 7-4 in the Big Ten. Up next for the Hawks will be a road game against Purdue. That game will be played on Wednesday, February 5th and you an catch all of the action on the Big Ten Network.

Let's hope for another victory, this team is playing well and they sure are fun to watch. We've been waiting a long time for something to cheer about when it comes to basketball in Iowa City.

I think we've found it.
