Hawkeye Baseball Sweeps Penn State
The Iowa Hawkeye Baseball program is on a roll. The team defeated Penn State at Duane Banks field in Iowa City on Saturday 8-4. This completes a 3-game sweep over Penn State and the 5th straight win for the team. Iowa finishes the 2018 regular season with a 20-6 home record.
Saturday's game marks the end of the regular season. Up next for Iowa will be the Big Ten Tournament. The Hawks will travel to Omaha, Nebraska, and will face third-seeded Michigan on Wednesday, May 23rd. The game will start at 9 a.m.
Iowa enters tournament play as the #6 seed. We wish the team the best of luck, and let's hope they can continue their winning streak!
I was able to attend 4 home games this season. I've always loved the vibe at Duane Banks Field......and there isn't a bad seat in the house!
