According to CBS2, "Cedar Rapids Police say a person admitted at a hospital early Saturday morning with a gunshot wound may be connected to a report of gunfire in the city's southwest side."

Cedar Rapids Police were called to St. Luke's Hospital Saturday morning around 3:51 a.m. They were called because a person entered the hospital looking for help after suffering a gunshot wound.

The patient was sent to the emergency room and that's when hospital officials called the police. The story indicated that the shooting victim may have been linked to a report of shots fired Saturday morning on 6th Street Southwest in Cedar Rapids.

Police have not released any names but the victim does appear to have non-life threatening injuries.
