If you thought the sky was falling near the CRST headquarters in downtown Cedar Rapids Wednesday night, it was just a giant piece of glass.

It could have been very dangerous, but according to officials, no injuries nor any damage to vehicles were reported.

A call was received just after 6 p.m.. Wednesday evening, and an investigation of what happened at the building at 201 1st St. SE is ongoing. A window reportedly collapsed from the 11th floor onto the Second Avenue Bridge, which was then blocked off for a time to preserve the safety of the public. The public now has the all-clear to move about the area as the shattered glass has been removed. A large portion of the building is made of glass.

In addition to CRST offices it also houses Bankers Trust and RSM offices.

The CRST building was one of the first, biggest and most expensive projects to go up in downtown after the 2008 flood.
