NewBo City Market will soon begin hosting farmers' markets and food trucks. CBS2 reports that the events will startup in May in an effort to help farmers and small businesses in the area.

The Markets will host Food Truck Tuesdays every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting May 5th in the Market parking lot. Food vendors will be required to set up a minimum of 10 feet from each other and serve carry out only meals. Dine-in eating at the Market will not be allowed at this time.

On Wednesdays, the Market will host 'Just the Essentials' farmer's markets from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and again on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Local farmers will be allowed to see fruits and vegetables outdoors in the Market yard. CBS2 reports that hand sanitizer will be available at each vendor table as well as at a station set up for the public. All guests are encouraged to wear masks and only one person can approach the table at a time.

The NewBo City Market Building remains closed to the public.
