An annual festival in Wisconsin is suffering after someone ripped them off by using fake $100 bills at the event.

Rocky & Tara’s Nut Haus in Dundas, Wisconsin, posted a warning to any upcoming events in their area after discovering the fake bills, which had some kind of Chinese writing printed on them.

The Nut Haus said the scammers most likely hit them with fake bills when their crews were busy selling different cooked forms of testicles and didn't have time to do their checks with the special money pens.

“People are stating, well, I could have seen that from a mile away. No, bills like I stated are defaced all of the time. So I would just like to mention, that the bill felt completely normal,” Tara Erickson, owner of Rocky and Tara’s Nut Haus told WBAY.

According to her, the bills were passed at both the Nut Haus and Two of a Kind, another bar that was part of the testicle festival.

The person who brought the fake bills were able to avoid being seen on the cameras.

“Really, if you think about it, the problem could have been way worse. We walked away with three bills. It could have been three hundred," Erickson said. "It could have been way worse. We’re very lucky in the grand scheme of things. We don’t want to see any other festival or any other business have this issue. The bills were very real.”

Nut Haus asks anyone who has information about the Testicle Festival caper of 2021, to let them know.

The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.
