The Chicago Bears Have a New Head Coach
The Chicago Bears ended their season with a 6-11 record and finished third in the NFC North. Following the 2021 season, head coach Matt Nagy and General Manager Ryan Pace were both fired. But a new 'Matt and Ryan' duo will now fill those roles for the Bears as they have announced that Matt Eberflus will be the Bears' new head coach.
On Tuesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter announced that the Chicago Bears filled the General Manager position after firing Ryan Pace. The Bears' announced that a new Ryan, Ryan Poles, would be taking the reigns as their new General Manager.
Previously, Poles was the Kansas City Chief's Assistant Director of Player Personnel.
Within two days of Poles being hired, he interviewed two coaches to take the spot of head coach for the Bears: Dan Quinn and Matt Eberflus.
On Thursday, ESPN's Adam Schefter broke the news that Matt Eberflus, former defensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts, has been hired as the head coach for the Chicago Bears, per sources.
