Cedar Rapids Roughriders Skate Into USHL Playoffs
With just one final regular season home game at the Stable on Friday April 12, the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders are riding high and heading into the playoffs, scheduled to start April 19.
The RoughRiders scored a big win on Saturday April 6 against the Tri-City Storm 4-2.
Rider goals were scored by Jason Polin, Will Zmolek, Jordan Tonelli and Liam Walsh with the empty netter. Blake Pietila gets the win in goal.
The victory helps Cedar Rapids improve their season record to 34-20 as they skate into Green Bay this afternoon for a 3:05 p.m. face off.
On Friday April 12 the Riders host their final regular season home game, and as a tradition it is Fan Appreciation Night.
We've scheduled and on-air interview for later this week with RoughRiders Coach Mark Carlson on the KRNA Morning Show. He's always a welcome guest, even when the talk turns more about rock n roll than plays and goals.
