The Cedar Rapids River Kings lost their final home game of the season Saturday night 56-15. They were defeated by the Green Bay Blizzard at the U.S. Cellular Center. Cedar Rapids now has a record of 1-12 with one game left next Saturday, June 15th in Wisconsin.

There were a few bright spots for the River Kings last night. Quarterback Dalton Oliver went 14-30 for 128 yards with a touchdown and running back Nate Chavious caught four passes for 50 yards.

That was about it as Green Bay dominated the entire game. Cedar Rapids has really struggled to score points in every game this season. Let's hope they can close out the season with a victory next Saturday.

I went to a couple of games this year and really enjoyed it. The only thing I don't like is that the games are played in the warm months of the year. I wish they could move their season to the colder time of year...when football is supposed to be played.

Either way, I love that we have an arena team here in Cedar Rapids. I just hope they get better. 1-12 is no fun!
