Cedar Rapids Police To Crack Down On Impaired Drivers Labor Day Weekend
With the Labor Day weekend quickly approaching, it might be a good time to get your travel plans in order. And that means NOT driving while under the influence. The Cedar Rapids Police Department is once again taking part in the the Governor's Traffic Safety Bureau Labor Day traffic enforcement project that will focus on impaired driving.
The Labor Day weekend is, unfortunately, one of the deadliest weekends of the year because of drunk driving. The Cedar Rapids police department will have extra officers on the roadways to crack down on drinking and driving.
There really isn't an excuse to get behind the wheel if you've been drinking. Even if you don't have a designated driver, call a cab. Use Uber or Lyft! Whatever it takes to make sure you and everyone arrive alive!
