The Cedar Rapids-based company, Collins Community Credit Union, has just announced that they will be building a brand new 86,000-square foot corporate headquarters in Cedar Rapids!

The new building will be located at 1005 Blairs Ferry Road NE in the Northtowne Market development that is across from Target. This isn't going to be any old headquarters building though. It's going to feature some other cool amenities too like retailers and office space for co-tenants.

Collins Community Credit Union has over 300 employees and has easily grown to become one of the largest credit unions in the state of Iowa. They have even extended their reach into the Des Moines Metro Area. With this rapid growth, the need to build a corporate headquarters was essential.

Collins Community Credit Union has a long history in Cedar Rapids and we are excited to demonstrate our continued commitment in this vibrant, growing community,” said Stefanie Rupert, president and CEO. “As the financial services industry continues to evolve, having a centrally located building will allow our staff to work more efficiently and effectively to serve our membership and the community.

According to the press release, the headquarters will feature a large, flexible work environment for not only the CCCU team, but will also serve as a common space for the other groups and organizations in the community to host meetings, events, and gatherings.

This building will be a community-focused space for not only our internal Collins team and membership, but the community we share with the towns where we live and work,” said Board Chairwoman Marsha Schulte. “We hope to provide for members and nonmembers alike and share the credit union vision of ‘people helping people.’
