Punk-pop papas Blink-182 have unveiled "Rabbit Hole," their latest single off their upcoming California album.

Drummer Travis Barker debuted the fast-paced track June 8 as part of Zane Lowe's World Record feature on Apple Music. The song's lyrics – traded off between bassist Mark Hoppus and newcomer guitarist Matt Skiba (Alkaline Trio) – battle inner demons and crash through haunted houses.

"Rabbit Hole" is the third release from California, due July 1 on Viking Wizard Eyes / BMG. From what the band has delivered so far – the throwback anthem "Bored to Death" and the jokey blip "Built This Pool" – longtime fans can expect a different direction from 2011's towering Neighborhoods.

California is the first Blink-182 album without founding singer/guitarist Tom DeLonge, who parted ways with the SoCal trio in 2015. Since then, he's penned Sekret Machines Book 1: Chasing Shadows, an amalgam of historical fiction and nonfiction about aliens. Coincidentally(?), his replacement released a solo album under the name Matt Skiba and the Sekrets called Kuts in 2015.

Blink-182 are on the road throughout fall 2016, with A Day To Remember, All American Rejects and All Time Low supporting.
