ATM Skimmers Found in Eastern Iowa

Iowa's News Now reports the discovery of ATM skimmers in Eastern Iowa. Skimmers are devices that capture and steal credit/debit card information.

Dubuque police investigated reports of illegal ATM withdrawals and discovered card skimmers on two Dubuque Bank & Trust ATMs between March 10 and March 13, 2020.

The affected machines were located at 2690 Rockdale Rd. and 2196 Holiday Dr. in Dubuque.

Iowa's News Now reports "the affected customers have been notified and added that there is no need for unaffected customers to destroy or cancel cards."

However, police would urge customers that may suspect possible fraud, but who have NOT yet called the bank, that they need to do so ASAP.

Anyone else who has used these ATMs on the days mentioned above should be extra careful in reviewing their recent bank activities and statements.
