Appetite For Destruction Turns 30!
Guns N' Roses released a masterpiece on July 21, 1987. The album was called Appetite for Destruction. According to Wikipedia, "It's the best-selling debut album as well as the 11th best-selling album in the United States." To date, the record has sold over 30 million copies worldwide.
This week marks the 30th anniversary of Appetite for Destruction. 94.1 KRNA has been honoring the record all week by playing tracks from the album day and night. Every song on the album is great, that doesn't happen very often. From track 1 to 12, there's not one bad song.
I tried my best to put into words what this album did for Rock & Roll in this short video clip. Here's to 30 more years!
Loudwire is also honoring the band in a new documentary titled Guns N’ Roses ‘Appetite for Destruction’: The Story of Rock’s Most Dangerous Album.
