Another Guy Threatens To Blow Up An Airport After Missing Flight

Flying can be stressful. You have to show up early, make sure you have all of the "bad" things out of your bag, and most importantly; Don't say anything that can be perceived as a threat.

A man who showed up late to his American Airlines flight at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport Monday afternoon expressed that he was upset about missing his flight in a way that sends you straight to jail without passing 'Go' or collecting $200.

Authorities said 30-year-old Vincent Cirino of Clewiston, Florida, showed up to the gate, was told the flight was closed already, and that he would not board because he was late.

He spoke with the gate agent, but became very enraged and then told them “I’m going to blow this shit up. I’m going to take you all out." This brought the gate agent to call 911 to report the threat made to the airport.

The Broward County Sheriff's Office arrived shortly to take him to jail soon after.

“When I attempted to advise (Cirino) of his Miranda rights, he refused to allow it,” BSO Deputy Christopher Anderson wrote in an arrest report. “Once again, he became enraged and was swearing at me and raising his voice.”

Cirino appeared in court on Tuesday for his charges of making a bomb threat and making a false report of mass destruction of public property.

While the judge said he felt that Cirino wasn’t facing exactly the right charges, he did find probable cause and ordered Cirino be given a $10,000 bond and told him he could not go on any airport property.

Cirno's attorney said Cirino was on his way to pick up his truck from a repair shop when he missed his flight yesterday.
