An Eastern Iowa Food Truck is Now a Restaurant [PHOTOS]
Folks near Cascade can now enjoy some delicious BBQ! Moski’s BBQ is now officially open for business at 325 1st Ave W.
According to a recent article from KCRG, Moski's BBQ is a new restaurant owned by Brice and Shawna Morris. The article reads:
"The couple previously competed in BBQ competitions, which prompted them to start using a trailer to cater events. They say the demand from customers who love their food inspired them to start a brick and mortar spot."
Back on August 12th, Moski's announced that their new restaurant is Cascade was only seven days away from their grand opening. Then, just one day after the opening, they announced that they wouldn't be able to open on Sunday the 21st because they ran out of meat! Clearly the community rallied behind the restaurant in a big way! The owners wrote on Facebook, "words can not express how grateful and humbled we are by your support."
The all-day menu at Moski's offers pulled pork, pulled chicken, and chopped brisket sandwiches, a BBQ Sundae, and lots of different sides. Sides include smoked mac & cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, baked potato casserole, jalapeno corn, and banana pudding. After 5 p.m., the restaurant allows customers to also order ribs, slice brisket, and chicken hindquarter. If you can't decide, you can try all three on the sampler platter!
Right now, Moski's BBQ is not taking phone orders. For both dine-in and to-go orders, you'll have to visit the restaurant. The hours listed on Facebook are Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday & Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
