Ambulance Accident On I-380
According to CBS2, "A truck crashed into a University of Iowa ambulance pulled off to the side of Interstate 380 on Friday afternoon."
The ambulance had a flat tire and was parked on the shoulder of the road. At around 3:30 p.m., the ambulance was struck by a 2014 Ford F250 driven by Robert Livingston of Waterloo. The incident happened at mile marker 58.
After hitting the ambulance, the F250 collided with a camper being towed in the outside lane. To make matters worse, the ambulance was carrying a patient. That person was transported by another ambulance to Mercy One Hospital in Waterloo.
The only good news from this story is that there were no injures. Livingston was treated by medical personal on the scene, and the other people involved were not injured.
The accident is still under investigation, and we will continue to follow this story and provide updates. To read the full article courtesy of CBS2, click on this link.
