We're free because of the brave, and the brave will get in free this Memorial Day weekend.

It's hard to believe that it's just a few short weeks away. As Americans celebrate it as the "unofficial first weekend of summer", let's not forget what it's really about. To say thanks for the sacrifice of a courageous group of men and women (and their families) who have served in the military and made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. We thank their families and those currently serving.

Adventureland Park has a wonderful way to show that appreciation again this year. A post on their Facebook page announces "Stars and Stripes at Adventureland", a chance for military personnel to visit for free, and their families at a discount.

Who gets in free?

This includes all current servicemen and women of all branches, including the National Guard and Reserve getting in absolutely free.

Retired and veteran military members also receive free admission with retired military photo ID or DD Form 214 discharge papers and matching government photo ID.

In addition to free admission for themselves that weekend, they will be able to purchase up to 6 additional admissions for $10 off.

  • $40 each for regular admission ages 10-64
  • $35 each for child (4-9) and senior (65+) admissions

What are Adventureland's hours during this promotion?

The park will be open Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30  from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Memorial Day, Monday, May 31 from 10-7. Parking will cost $15 per day, per car.

We salute your service and love that Adventureland is making this invitation available. We will likely see more businesses and organizations pop up with well-deserved offers and discounts in the coming weeks. To stay in the know, or to let us know, download the mobile app.
