Get ready to welcome a new sushi place to the area!

Uncle Sang's Sushi & Kitchen is set to open soon at 122 East Main Street in Solon, the former home of The Brass Fountain. The Brass Fountain closed its doors in late December of 2022. The Gazette reports that the new restaurant is owned by Sang Tran, and it's described on their website as "a full-service restaurant that features a variety of special rolls with delicate sauces, fresh sushi, and traditional cuisine made only with the freshest ingredients."

In addition to the long list of sushi rolls, Uncle Sang's menu also offers a ton of other dishes, like Teriyaki, Stir-Fried Noodles, Yakisoba, Pho, Ramen, and Poke Bowls. They even have Sushi Burritos, which come in five different varieties! For appetizers, you can order Spring Rolls, Crab Rangoon, Pork Gyoza, Shrimp/Vegetable Tempura, and more. Oh, and don't forget dessert! Uncle Sang's has Mochi Ice Cream on the menu, which is a Japanese treat made from a "sweet pounded rice dough wrapped around ice cream" (Taste of Home).

Uncle Sang's Sushi & Kitchen isn't open yet, but it will be soon. After reaching out to the restaurant I was told: "I’m looking at next Saturday if everything comes together the way I'm hoping." Regardless, the business hours are already listed on social media, so you can plan ahead:

  • Lunch Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Dinner Tuesday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
