A New Restaurant/Bakery Has Opened in Cedar Rapids

Another new business is ready to serve customers here in Eastern Iowa!

Thanks to a new article from the Cedar Rapids Gazette, we have discovered that Feedwell Kitchen & Bakery is now open in Cedar Rapids. The restaurant is located at 560 Boyson Rd. NE in Suite A, which formerly housed gumption. gumption. closed back in May after three years in business. You can read more on that HERE.

Feedwell Kitchen & Bakery officially opened back on October 16th. The business' Facebook page says they have "the perfect blend of healthy, happy food. Robust seasonal soups, salads, and sandwiches. Freshly baked pastries, cheesecakes, and other sweet delights." It also notes that they have gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options available and that the menu will change seasonally.

According to the website, Feedwell is run by two women, Chef Mel and Chef Holly. Chef Mel is in charge of the kitchen, while Chef Holly is in charge of the bakery. Chef Mel has experience as "a line cook, Executive Chef, Food & Beverage Director at The Hotel Kirkwood, and 16 years as a culinary instructor with Kirkwood Community College," and Holly had plenty of self-taught baking experience long before she enrolled in the Baking and Pastry program at Kirkwood Community College. The two of them have joined forces to serve up some delicious food right here in the Corridor!

Feedwell Kitchen & Bakery is open Tuesday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can check out the current menu HERE.
