I'm not sure how I feel about this one just yet!

In the past several years, it seems like the pumpkin spice trend has only gotten bigger. I've heard of so many different pumpkin spice-flavored items that it's hard to keep track of them all! Just this morning, I discovered another new product, and it's available a popular local Mexican restaurant.

La Cantina, with locations in Cedar Rapids and Marion, announced on social media yesterday that they are jumping on the pumpkin spice trend. The restaurants are now serving a pumpkin spice... margarita! Yes, you read that right! Normally margaritas contain some sort of fruity flavor, like peach or lime or strawberry, so I'm curious to see how it tastes. It definitely looks a little creamier than your standard margarita. Here's the photo that La Cantina posted on Facebook:

La Cantina doesn't reveal the exact ingredients they used for their pumpkin spice margarita, but a quick Google search turns several different recipes. One of the most popular includes tequila, pumpkin pie spice, brown sugar, Cointreau, lime juice, pumpkin puree, and some other spices. You can check out some of the other recipes HERE.

What do you think? Would you be willing to try one of these pumpkin spice margaritas from La Cantina? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

In case you haven't heard, a couple of new Mexican restaurants have recently opened here in the Corridor. There's Eva's Mexican Restaurant in Marion, which you can read more about HERE, and Rosy's Salvadoran & Mexican Restaurant in Cedar Rapids, which you can read more about HERE.
