I've never ordered a mimosa this size before!

This morning, I was scrolling through the Deetz - Let's Support Local! Facebook page, when I came across a photo that made me do a double take. The photo was of two people with the LARGEST mimosa I've ever laid eyes on! Check it out for yourself:

The photo was posted by Cruz's Café, a new breakfast and lunch spot that just opened in Cedar Rapids back in November in 2021. Cruz's Café is located in the former Riley's Café location at 568 Boyson Road NE, right next to Kingston's Steakhouse. The restaurant has a variety of delicious-looking menu items, but the Giant Mimosa is a new addition. The photo above was just posted on Saturday, which is when the very first Giant Mimosa order was placed by Scott and Kathy. The café has just revealed the adult beverage one day earlier. The post reads:

"Cruz’s Cafe: Home of the Giant Mimosa that contains an entire bottle of champagne! Stop in and try one today!"

Cruz's Cafe is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can check out the full menu online HERE.

Cruz's is one of quite a few new restaurants that offer breakfast. Other new places that opened in late 2021/early 2022 include Morning Story in Marion and La Casita in Cedar Rapids, which I tried a few weeks ago. This past Sunday, I decided to give Crosby's in Cedar Rapids a try, and they have a delicious weekend brunch, too! You can check out some photos of our food HERE.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
