Women of a certain age are squealing with delight over the news that 80's heartthrob rocker Rick Springfield will perform in concert at 4th Fest in Coralville on Tuesday July 3rd at 8:00 p.m.

The free concert is happening at S.T. Morrision Park and is just a part of a long list of their holiday festivities.

There will also be a 5k run/walk, a parade, pancake breakfast, a carnival and of course...fireworks!

But the biggest cheers may be from all the women who grew up with Rick Springfield. The Grammy award winning singer, songwriter, and musician has sold 25 million albums, featuring massive hits including “Jessie’s Girl,” “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” and “I've Done Everything for You".

He was also a prominent member on staff at "General Hospital" the ABC TV Soap Opera. Yes, he played a doctor on TV. In fact, one might say that he was the original "McDreamy".

So ladies, save the date...enjoy a free concert - bring a friend and bring a blanket!
