You Can Play Giant Jenga and Ping Pong in Iowa City Park

Here we sit here watching the clock tick slowly down to football season. We still want something to do so the whole family can enjoy the sunshine outside. Howabout heading down to the heart of Hawkeye country for some giant Jenga and ping pong in the park?

The Iowa City Downtown District‎ is hosting the free event at the Black Hawk Mini Park At Ped Mall in Iowa City.

According to the ICDD, this is just the start of a multi-month programming schedule:

This is week one. We will have ping pong and Jenga with our red chairs out all week. On Friday, we will have community lunch hour with a musician in the area. It is part of a large scale pilot program for the Black Hawk Mini Park. The next event following the ping pong and Jenga will be Light Painting on July 22nd in BHMP.
