World's First Flying Bike Debuted At North American Auto Show

We are officially a step closer to having those cool speeder bikes from Return of the Jedi.

At the North American Auto Show in Detroit, a Delaware-based company called Aerwins debuted their newest product: a hoverbike.

Aerwins specializes in the design of drones and unmanned vehicles, so creating essentially a drone people can ride on was a breeze.

This hoverbike is called the Xturismo and could be yours!

'I feel like I'm literally 15-years-old and I just got out of Star Wars and I jumped on their bike,' Thad Scott, co-chair of the auto show, told Reuters. 'I'm so excited'

The bike will be able to travel up 62 miles per hour for up to 40 minutes, and has actually been available for sale in Japan since last fall. In Japan, it's not considered an aircraft and doesn't require a special license to pilot.

Aerwins said there's an electric version coming in coming in 2025, which they hope to sell for $50,000.

The current model costs $770,000.
