Worker Dies At DuPont Plant In Cedar Rapids

Very sad news to report out of Cedar Rapids. According to the Gazette, "A man was killed when he was run over by a semi truck Wednesday at his workplace."

The accident happened at DuPont Industrial Bioscience, at 1000 41st Avenue Drive SW in Cedar Rapids.

The victim was 46-year-old Daniel Heeren of Van Horne, who was run over by a semi truck at DuPont Industrial Bioscience at 9:56 a.m. on Wednesday.

Authorities did say the family has been notified.

DuPont issued a statement of condolences and are offering counseling for employees. We'll continue to track this story and provide more updates as we receive them. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims family.
