It's hard to stay motivated to work out, even in the summer, but when you think about it, there's no better time. Especially with an offer you can't pass up from a gym close to home.

If you're a teenager between 15-18, part of your college tuition could be covered. All you've got to do is go the gym!

All 1,700+ Planet Fitness locations across the U.S., including Cedar Rapids, will be offering free memberships all summer to teens who sign up for their Summer Challenge Scholarship Sweepstakes. The promotion runs from May 15-September 1.

Sign up for the challenge, work out for free, and you're in the running for one of 51 scholarships in the amount of $500 in the United States that Planet Fitness will be giving out. A grand prize winner of $5,000 will be awarded, too.

Teens age 15-17 must have a parent or guardian present to sign up at any Planet Fitness, 18 year olds can sign up on their own. In-person sign-up is required and more details can be found here.

Can we set something like this up for adults? Those electric bills are getting pretty high these days.

Cedar Rapids has a Planet Fitness location at 383 Edgewood Rd. NW, in the Edgewood Plaza Shopping Center.
